These allowances are paid automatically every month, whether the MP spends the money or not:
Basic Salary – RM16,000 (Fixed salary) Subject for revision from time to time.
Entertainment Allowance – RM2,500 (Paid regardless of event participation)
Special Payment for Non-Administration MPs – RM1,500 (Given automatically)
Fixed Travel Allowance – RM1,500 (No need to travel; paid every month)
Fuel Allowance – RM1,500 (Paid regardless of whether the MP drives or not)
Toll Allowance – RM300 (Given even if the MP does not use toll roads)
Driver’s Allowance – RM1,500 (MP gets this even if they don’t hire a driver)
Phone Bill Allowance – RM900 (Paid regardless of actual phone bill usage)

These allowances are not automatically paid—MPs must submit proof (receipts, attendance records, travel claims, etc.) to get reimbursed.
Parliament Sitting Allowance – RM400 per day only if the MP attends a parliamentary session.
Committee Meeting Allowance – RM300 per meeting only if the MP attends.
Local Duty Allowance – RM100 per day only if the MP is on official duty in Malaysia.
Overseas Duty Allowance – RM170 per day + RM340 per night only if the MP travels abroad for official duties.
Accommodation Allowance – RM400 per night only if the MP stays in a hotel for official work. These allowances are not automatically paid—MPs must submit proof (receipts, attendance records, travel claims, etc.) to get reimbursed.
