EPF Withdrawal Age Limits

  1. Full Withdrawal at Age 55
    • At 55 years old, you can withdraw all of your EPF savings.
    • Your EPF Accounts 1 & 2 will merge into one after this.
    • You can withdraw the full amount in a lump sum, partial withdrawals, or monthly withdrawals.
    • If you continue working, new contributions will go into Akaun 55.
  2. Flexible Withdrawals at Age 60
    • If you did not withdraw at 55, you can continue withdrawals at any time.
    • If you are still working after 55 or 60, your new contributions will go into Akaun Emas and can only be withdrawn at 60.
  3. Mandatory Withdrawal at Age 100
    • If your EPF savings are not withdrawn by age 100, EPF will automatically transfer the funds to the Registrar of Unclaimed Money (Jabatan Akauntan Negara Malaysia – JANM).
    • Your family or heirs can claim the money later, but it’s better to withdraw before 100 to avoid complications.
